VST Syringe Filters are purpose-built to clarify and de-gas espresso and brewed coffee samples for accurate, repeatable refractometer measurements. Unfiltered espresso contains fine suspended solids and CO₂ gas, which lead to erratic or inaccurate TDS readings. 

These lab-grade filters remove particulates and CO₂ gas without altering the concentration of dissolved solids, preserving the integrity of your sample and enabling precision within VST’s 0.01% specification.

Originally developed for espresso, VST Syringe Filters are also ideal for filtered coffee brewed with perforated metal or mesh screens.
