Whether you pick ridged or ridgeless, you’re getting the VST Precision Filter Basket. The differences are mechanical/fit/usage than extraction performance. The question is: which variant suits your setup and workflow better.

Standard or “Ridged” means the basket has a ridge (a raised ring or lip) close to the top edge of the outer wall that helps it seat into the portafilter spring clip more securely. This gives it:

• A more secure fit in portafilters that may have weak spring clips or older/loose springs
• Slightly less risk of the basket coming loose when hitting the knock box
• Possibly a more “classic” choice in high-volume café environment where speed and reliability matter

“Ridgeless” means that ridge is absent and the basket has a smooth outer wall at the top edge. This mean's it's:

• Easier to remove the basket from the portafilter for quick basket swaps
• For home users or lower-volume shops where you’re more deliberate, the ridgeless may give a nicer experience

• Non U.S. Shipments: any and all import taxes, duties, value added taxes, if any, are the responsibility of the purchaser/importer. 
• All shipments are confirmed with tracking information. Non-US Shipments may not update tracking once items leave the U.S. port of departure, unless shipped via FedEX.
• Ground Advantage (formerly First Class) parcels are not insured and no signature option is available. If you want your shipment insured use Priority or Express services.
